Anna Simmons Crosby - Makeup Artist / Owner
Hi!!! I'm Anna Simmons, the proud owner of Simmons Beauty Studio. I am a Mississippi girl but have called Jacksonville my home since 2022. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, but makeup and hair has always been a great passion of mine.
From a young age, I spent countless hours watching makeup and hair tutorials and then practicing on myself. By the age of 13, I was doing my older sister's makeup and hair for big events, and soon, I became the go-to person for my friends and family whenever they needed to look their best. From years of encouragement by my family and friends, I decided to take the leap in 2024 and turn my passion into a profession!
I specialize in bridal, prom, and special events. I love being creative and crafting unique looks for my clients; whether it's a soft, elegant wedding style or a bold glam for a special event. My focus is on enhancing your natural beauty and making you feel like your best self! I prioritize your needs and strive to ensure you have an amazing experience getting your makeup and hair done for your big event!
Emily Simmons Hurst - Hair Stylist
Hi! My name is Emily Simmons Hurst. I currently live in St. Augustine, Florida with my husband and my precious dog Cassie. We are expecting twin boys in April and couldn’t be more excited about expanding our little family!
When my sister, Anna, founded Simmons Beauty Studio, joining her as a hairstylist felt like a natural next step. Our grandmother owned a salon where we spent a lot of our childhood, so you could say hair styling is in my DNA. I still love my 9-5 as a Project Manager for a pool company. However, I am very passionate about helping people feel beautiful for special events, especially on their wedding day. It brings me so much happiness to watch a bride feel like the most beautiful version of herself and that we helped make that happen!
From elaborate updos to elegant curls for all down styles, I enjoy doing it all! I’ve worked with all ages and hair texture types: thick to thin, pin straight to natural curls, short to basically touching the floor. I can take an inspiration photo and customize it to best fit your hair and features. Or I can suggest some styles that I think will work best for you based on the event, your dress, your hair type, etc. My biggest priority is that you leave my chair saying “I love my hair! I’ve never seen it look this good!” while also knowing it will last all day!
